In the first round of the main event, "The Turkish Terminator" Yildirim faced off against 42 -year-old Tomas Harron of the Czech Republic. Yildirim is the absolute champion who has defended the WAKO-PRO World Super Heavyweight Championship 24 times. His opponent, Harron, lost to Erol Zimmerman in 2022 but won by KO against Zahir Benady in December last year, and is a strong fighter who won the 120kg tournament at Road to ONE in 2021 .
Furlong was knocked down in the first round after receiving a right from Ilidirim . In the second round , they exchanged blows, and Furlong fell on his butt after receiving a left, but fought back. In the final round , Ilidirim aimed for Furlong's face with a roundhouse kick. Furlong fell outside the ring, but there was also a scene where he fought back with a body hook. However, the decision was 3-0 for Ilidirim, who had taken the knockdown .

In the final, perhaps as K-1 fate would have it, the upsets continued until the very end. The favorites Istrate and Bartek were defeated one after the other, and even the "Turkish Terminator" Ilidirim and Milos Cvečkanin retired due to injury. In an unexpected turn of events, reserve boxer Cvečkanin and Nidal Buciri , who lost to Ilidirim by decision in the semi-finals, made a comeback showdown.
As the match began, a lively Cvetchkanin fired off a succession of low kicks. Buchiri counterattacked with punches, but Cvetchkanin also threw him off balance with a backspin kick. In the second round , Cvetchkanin pressed in with a flying knee kick and a low kick. Buchiri then raised his right hand, indicating he had lost the will to fight. The referee counted down the fight, and Buchiri took a fighting pose. When the match resumed, Cvetchkanin pressed in with more low kicks. This time, the referee saw Buchiri turn his back and run away, and stopped the match. It was an unprecedented ending, with the Reservoir winning.
With this, Cvetchkanin successfully secured a ticket to the opening round of the K-1 WGP . The return of the K-1 WGP after 14 years kicked off with an unexpected story of an unknown Japanese athlete winning the championship.
